“Through the Charlotte Fellows, I was able to reevaluate my priorities. My passion for a career in creative advertising grew significantly stronger through the program because I began to truly understand how to glorify God through my work.”
“My time as a Charlotte Fellow was a time of pruning. I learned so much about God, myself, Scripture, and life in community. It was amazing to be cared for by so many people who love the Lord. I won’t fully appreciate how much this year has blessed me for years to come.”
“My year as a Charlotte Fellow gave me an opportunity to recognize the areas in my life where I still did not believe the Gospel and instead continued to limp along in my insecurities. Apart from life in the Fellows community, those insecurities would likely have remained hidden and continued to hold me back.”
“It was the most challenging year of my life. The year forced me to ask a lot of questions about how God fits into situations and what He cares about. I grew in maturity of mind and confidence in how God is relevant in all things.”
“My host family was and is instrumental in my understanding of what it means to let Christ penetrate all areas of my life: worship, work, and community.”
“Amidst all of the talking, thinking, listening, praying and reading about “calling”, I think the overarching thing that I learned this year is that my primary calling is not to a place or an occupation, but to follow Jesus. The Lord calls me first and foremost to love Him, and all else will follow.”
“The Fellows Program has taught me how Christ does actually work in the marketplace. Since Christ’s spirit lives in me and all of us as Christians, we are His instruments to be used in the church and secular settings as well. In the marketplace, I can seek out where it is He is working and then join Him.”
